How it works:
Get coverage for your home in 3 easy steps:
01. Start with a few quick questions.
We’ll take about 10 minutes to go over simple questions — age, health, mortgage details, and any existing coverage — so I can see what you may qualify for. No medical exams. Just a few health and lifestyle basics.
02. See your pre-qualified options.
I’ll compare offers from top-rated insurance carriers based on your info. We’ll review a few solid options together — and pick one that protects your family and fits your budget. No pressure, ever.
03. Apply for coverage when you’re ready.
If you like one of the options, I’ll walk you through submitting the application. Some approvals are instant, others take 1–3 days. If approved, you’ll get your policy and have 30 days to review everything risk-free.

What to expect when you apply 1:
What info should I have ready?
To make the application quick and easy, here’s what you’ll want to have ready:
• Driver’s license
• Social Security number (to verify your identity)
• Personal medical history (any major conditions, past procedures)
• Current prescription information
• Your doctor’s name and phone number
Why do you need this info?
We ask for your driver’s license and Social Security number is used to verify your identity, to help prevent fraud, and is required by every life insurance company in the underwriting process — this helps speed up your approval. Your medical history and prescriptions give the insurance company a clear picture of your health, so you can skip the medical exam. Everything stays secure and confidential — always.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes — your personal information stays 100% private.
I only share your application with the insurance company you’re applying to — no one else. I’m licensed, contracted, and legally required to protect your information.
All data is encrypted and handled securely, using industry-standard privacy protections
Your info is never sold, shared, or exposed — period.
What questions will you ask me?
In general, you can expect questions related to:
• Your health
• Your legal and driving history
• Your prescription history
• Your employment and income status
• Your lifestyle and hobbies
• Your drug and/or alcohol use
Will I need a medical exam?
Generally, no medical exam is required — just health questions on the application. However, in some cases, if the requested coverage exceeds the insurance company’s simplified issue underwriting guidelines, a quick health check may be required.
The exam is free and designed for your convenience. A licensed technician will come to your home or office to check your height, weight, blood pressure, and collect a small blood and urine sample. It typically takes just 20–30 minutes.
How long will our appointment take today?
Most appointments take about 15–25 minutes. We’ll go over a few quick questions, look at your options, and see if there’s a fit. If you have questions, we’ll take time to answer them — but there’s no pressure and nothing to pay today.

What to expect when you apply 2:
What happens after I apply?
Once we submit your application, the insurance company’s underwriters review your info and make a decision. Most approvals take 1–3 days, and some happen same-day — especially when everything’s straightforward.
If the carrier needs more info, they may ask for quick follow-up questions or, in rare cases, a medical exam. If that happens, I’ll guide you through it — start to finish.
If the first carrier doesn’t approve the application, no problem — we’ll pivot to one of the backup options you’ve already prequalified for. No need to start over.
Once approved, I’ll personally reach out to confirm the details.
In some cases, you may be approved with different terms than we applied for — like a slightly lower amount or adjusted rate. If that happens, you’ll see the exact offer first. Nothing moves forward without your full approval. If you like the new terms, we’ll confirm the change, and the policy gets issued.
What if my application gets declined?
If one insurance company doesn’t approve your application, no problem — we’ll simply pivot to one of the backup options you’re already pre-qualified for. There’s no need to start over, and I’ll guide you through the next steps to keep things moving smoothly.
What payment methods are accepted?
Most insurance companies accept bank transfer via ACH, which is a secure, automated withdrawal from your checking account — just like your mortgage payment. This method helps ensure your coverage stays active, even if a credit card expires or gets lost. It’s the most reliable way to protect your policy and your family.
Can I cancel or change my mind later?
You can withdraw your application at any time before it’s approved — no penalties, no fees.
Once approved, you’ll have a 30-day review period to look over the policy, make changes, or cancel it for a full refund.
You’re always in control. I’ll make sure you understand exactly what’s being offered before anything is finalized.
How long does approval take?
Some applicants are approved on the spot.
Most approvals take 1–3 business days, depending on how quickly the carrier receives any additional info they may request.
If anything is needed, I’ll help move it along fast.
What if I’m approved with different terms?
In some cases, you may be approved with different terms than we originally applied for — like a lower coverage amount or a slightly adjusted rate. If that happens, you’ll see the exact offer first. Nothing moves forward without your full approval. If you’re comfortable with the new terms, we’ll confirm the change and issue the policy.
Mortgage Protection 101:
Does this cover both me and my spouse?
Yes, we can absolutely look at coverage for both you and your spouse. Each person applies individually, based on age and health, but we’ll review all your options together and find what works best for your situation — whether it’s a shared plan or separate ones.
Will this affect my credit score?
Nope — applying won’t impact your credit.
Some carriers may run a soft check as part of a Identity check if you’re requesting a large policy or have a bankruptcy history, but it won’t affect your score.
How does this insurance actually work?
Mortgage protection pays a lump sum to your family if you pass away, helping them cover the mortgage and stay in the home. Some plans also include benefits for disability or job loss. It’s life insurance designed specifically to protect your home — plain and simple.
Why get this if I have Homeowners or PMI?
PMI and homeowners insurance protect the lender or the property — not your family. Mortgage protection is the only coverage that pays your loved ones directly if you pass away, so they don’t lose the home. It protects people, not banks.
Is mortgage protection required by my lender?
No — lenders don’t require it. But they do require PMI, which protects them, not you. Mortgage protection is optional coverage that ensures your family can stay in the home, no matter what happens. It’s peace of mind, not a requirement.
What’s different from regular life insurance?
Most people already have some life insurance — but it’s often underfunded, tied to their job, or not enough to cover a full mortgage. Mortgage protection is designed specifically to help pay off or reduce the loan, so your loved ones aren’t caught off guard when it matters most.
What is a replacement policy?
A replacement policy is a new life insurance policy that replaces an existing one — usually because the original policy is being canceled, reduced, or no longer meets your needs. During our call, I’ll help you see if we can improve your current coverage or cost with something that fits better.
Is work life insurance enough?
Employer coverage is a great bonus — but it usually ends if you leave your job and only pays 1–2 years of salary. That’s often not enough to protect the home or give your family time to recover financially. This fills the gap and gives them control.
How much coverage could I get
Coverage can range from 10% up to the full amount of your mortgage — it all depends on your age, health, and the plan you qualify for. During our call, I’ll help you see what’s available and which carriers offer the best fit for your needs and budget.
How would a payout work?
If you pass away during the coverage period, the insurance company pays a lump sum directly to your beneficiary. That money can be used to pay off the mortgage, cover bills, or handle other needs. There are no restrictions on how it’s used.
What if I refinance or move homes?
Most modern policies are portable — which means your coverage follows you, not the loan. If you move or refinance, you can keep the same policy in place, or adjust it. I’ll help you make changes if needed so your coverage always fits.
